RR59

There are two different guitars, both referred to as RR59. One was intended for export (the "US type") and one for domestic sale (the "Japanese type").
The made-for-export (US) version has a Honduran mahogany body with mahogany set neck, Brazilian rosewood fretboard with abalone dot inlays, two Heartfield humbuckers, 22 jumbo frets and a Fender American standard fixed bridge with string-through body design. It has a 24.75" (628 mm) scale length and a 12" (305 mm) neck radius. The difference with the RR58 is that it has a 648 mm scale length, a Fender Deluxe American Standard tremolo and a narrower headstock for a straighter string pull, as well as locking tuners.

It used to sell for $1099.99 (95,000 Yen).

Heartfield colour codes available for this guitar according to a US source: Honey Blond (701), Emerald Green Transparent (716) and Crimson Transparent (738).

First documented month of manufacture: September 1990 (serial number I90008, see guitar below). Last documented month of manufacture: October 1992 (serial number J92286, not pictured on this site). The guitar appeared in Fender Frontline first in winter (i.e. early) 1991 and last in autumn 1993.
