The wood on the Talon bodies is very light and very weak. I would suggest looking for a replacement Heartfield body and transfer your trem and electronics. I have a spare body but ironically it has a crack at that spot as well.

Prototype serial numbers are a bit out of order. I know you're a stickler for detail.

Looks like a proto of the Elan II. The Elan III would have the nicer inlays, that being said I'm jealous and i want that guitar. I would bet anything it has an '88 serial number. Very early. Please IM me for my address !!!
