Re: New to me DR-4

Could you possibly send a close-up of the serial?
I will definitely add your bass to the serial numbers database with the next minor update. Thanks for your time and perseverance.

Re: Heartfield Talon V without serial number?

If it's not on the back of the headstock it's nowhere. It might have been sanded off, or might have been covered during a refinish. Sometimes you might be able to see it in a picture if you scan the back of the headstock using a flatbed scanner, or taking a picture in bright daylight and then fiddli...

When was that? Your bass was not in the database last time I checked (yesterday). Serial numerals are 89009, right?

Re: New to me DR-4

Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing pics of your bass. Is that Blue Pearl Burst?
Can you also share where you live, and where the previous owner lives (and maybe also where they got it)?

Re: New Forum, I guess I am the only one!

Unfortunately, this site has not exactly kept auction prices down. Heartfield-related guitars (especially DRs and Elans) seem to be fetching more and more. It's what the quality deserves, but it does not exactly make Heartfield guitars underdogs anymore, nor best kept secrets!

Have you seen that Steinberger-like bass on the site? Although I prefer a real headstock, it's quite unique. No bigger pictures so far :-(

Indeed you shouldn't. My Partsocaster also has a reverse headstock. Love that look.
